I saw LOTR last night
A comedy conversation by Brooke 0 0

It wasn't that great. That elf guy with the bow and arrows, and the long hair was really hot, the Hobbits were all hot, the ranger guy was hot, and the guy I wanted to sit next to was hot. Unfortunately, I ended up sitting next to another guy whose breath smelled like Shakespeare, and who referred to me as "lover." Afterwards, though, the hot guy gave me a shoulder rub, but it didn't make up for not sitting next to him.

If the joke was so obvious, then why didn't it pop up two hours ago?

I thought the elf guy was hot too. The real-life actor's name has the world "Orlando" in it somewhere. He's apparently been on the stage only prior to this.

Grr, but I want people to care! This is a semi-geek's perspective on this movie, as opposed to one of a hard core geek, who would obviously be biased. I did like the constant Led Zeppelin references (I know that the books came first, but if I think about the idea that the gods themselves might be/have been geeks, then I feel faint), and the troll, whom I called Giant Transcendentalist, was adorable.

All I can say about this movie is "Better than Harry Potter"

But then just about any movie is better than Harry Potter, even Star Wars.

Lets see if you can say that after "Attack of the Clones" starring N*Sucks.

N'Suck are making a movie? Has the entire world gone crazy? I thought they'd burn out after their first crappy CD, but they're still going strong! Grr! I hate pop, and everything it represents. It's not even real music-- it's catchy, superficial ditties performed by beautiful people. And they consider themselves musicians! They don't even write what they churn out-- they're machines, pure and simple.

The actor who played Legolas is named Orlando Bloom. He would be hot, but his name makes laugh every time I hear it.

I heard on NPR yesterday that N'Sync are no longer going to be in Attack of the Clones, due to overwhelming negative response. So y'all can rejoice or whatever.

Not quite true, acording to Lucasfilm, the scene is in until Lucas cuts it in final edit.

due to overwhelming negative response

George Lucas doesn't give a Shakespeare about overwhelming negative response. He's said as much in defending his decision to have Jar Jar in Ep 2.

And bad press is better than no press.

Well, it's what I heard on the radio; I dunno if it's true. But I reckon that the Star Wars fans who wouldn't go see a movie with N'Sync in it would be more than made up for by the throngs of N'Sync fans who would go see it.

Why do N'Suck have throngs of fans, but really awesome artists like Joe Bonamassa (?) are starving?

Vlad thinks N'sync stinks. Vlad thinks problem with pissing off core audience, despite getting new fans is that Episode III won't make any money. Vlad thinks Lucas smokes crack on weekends.

Vlad can't back that up with proof though.
