We had a family gathering at my parent's house where my wife managed to say exactly the right thing at the right time to almost embarrass me.
There were a lot of people in the living room, several different conversations were going simultaneously, so it was rather loud. My wife and I were deciding who should take care of something else and which one of us would set up the port-a-crib (my daughter was about a year old at the time). While I am fairly mechanically inclined, setting up the port-a-crib usually frustrated me. The damn thing would never cooperate. I don't remember what the other task that needed to be done was, but it must have been something I did not want to do because I was determined to be the one to set up the port-a-crib. My wife knowing I had problems setting the thing up said, right as all noise in the room stopped, "But, you can't get it up."
Well, there is nothing that says family love like a discussion of my sexual functionality, or the implied lack thereof. While this event happened over 7 years ago, members of my family still bring it up from time to time.
I'd show them all that the statement was incorrect, but then I would have to move to the South where it's acceptable behavior.

I gave the only appropriate answer:
"But honey, you promised not to tell!"
