Does anyone else find it disturbing that Green Day - Frost-ing Green Day - is making songs with social and political overtones?
I wish they'd go back to singing songs about masturbation and poo.

They are Frosted up and spun out in their room - of course they are getting political.

The Onion once did a list of "People in need of a good Coleridge-punching" (the graphic was really funny), and #1 was Bono. I couldn't agree more - I hate it when rock stars start taking themselves too seriously, and he's the king of them all.

AAAGGGHHH! But it's GREEN DAY! They made an album called "Dookie" for Chrissake!
Which, by the way, was a good album. I got nothing against that one at all.

Hey, despite the PATRIOT Act, it is still a free country. The lads of Green Day are free to put whatever kind of message they want in their music, just as I am free to rock out with my Coleridge out.
Now if you'll excuse me, my public awaits.

I didn't say they shouldn't do it, I just said I find it disturbing, and I do. But I am all for their ability to pontificate about anything they want to with whatever airs of self-righteousness they care to put on.
I just like it better when they sing about poo.

If by disturbed you mean aroused, then yes, I'm a quivering, disturbed, anticipating mess right now.
