What Song Should Have Been Number 1?
A comedy conversation by Harbhajan Singh 161,353 14

When you were born? The laws of time don't matter here. What song should have been likely playing on radios across America at the moment you were birthed? For me, that's an easy one: Don't Stop Believin' by Journey. Someday when people's lives have soundtracks, the soundtrack to my life will be Journey's Greatest Hits.

Actually, the theme to the Muppet Show was,

It's time to hit the music,

it's time to turn the lights,

it's time to get things started,

'cause the Muppet Show's tonight.

or something like that.

Mana-mana was just a bit on the show.

I had girls and lots of clothes

Fred had names for all his toes

Oh! Special Fred

His momma dropped him on his head

Now he thinks he's a piece of bread

'Cause he's a little bit special

Just a little bit...

I already had that song stuck in my head. You know how Sandra Bullock and Kermit spoofed it with "phenomenon, do doo de doo doo," well, everytime me and my friend see a parabola in maths, we start singing, "parabola, do doo de doo doo." We're doing graphing at the moment.

ThreeDub, lemme tell you a little story 'bout Journey. Others have heard this story before. My friend and I were at Goodwill, and among the mountain of Halloween sound effects tapes and tapes of Jesus humpers, I found Journey's Greatest Hits for a QUARTER. Since I had a tape deck in my car, I snatched it up. The plan was for my friend and I to go to Blake's Lottaburger, which is a sad, sad, sad imitation of Whattaburger, and eat our burgers in the car with the windows rolled down and Journey playing. It was supposed to be ironic. But after like the fourth or fifth song to which we had sung along, we came to the frightful realization that Journey RULES.
