Anyone up for a challenge?
A comedy conversation by SheCabbage 5,200 13

I have a friend who did some freelance work for a guy who didn't pay her and then up and disappeared.

I haven't had a lot of luck tracking him down, though I haven't tried driving to his town and seeing if he's at the address she gave me. She says that she tried getting in touch with him recently and he's no longer there.

I have his company name, address, phone number, and a cruddy verizon email address.

Anyone up for the challenge of finding where he lives so she can serve him with a summons? I don't have a lot of time and figured if I could get some help she'd get her money a lot faster.

In a word, yes. I'll make a trip to the address he has listed to see if he's home, I was thinking about doing it this weekend.

He screwed my friend out of over 100 hours of illustration work and stole her designs, we need to get a valid address so she can sue him.

I'd shine the Mookie signal into the sky, but I think Mookie stopped being our resident stalker. Who is it nowadays? Is it Chris Garrett? It's Chris Garrett, isn't it? I bet it's Chris Garrett.

I'd say Oliver Chest, but what good is a stalker with his pants around his ankles?

This should get some results.

It's "Kevin". She doesn't know his last name.

So I suppose it could be your Mark Oursler.

<action>sighs</action>

You see, back in those old days, rich men would ride around in zeppelins, dropping coins on people, and one day I seen J. D. Rockefeller flying by. So I run of the house with a big washtub and? Hey! Where are you going?

... Anyway, about my washtub. I'd just used it that morning to wash my turkey, which in those days was known as a walking bird. We'd always have walking bird on Thanksgiving with all the trimmings: cranberries, injun eyes, yams stuffed with gunpowder. Then we'd all watch football, which in those days was called "baseball."

She doesn't know his last name.

Way to sign a contract, SheCabbage's friend.

No, but seriously, Lexis Nexis is your friend. I don't have an account any more, but I'm sure one of the desperate stalkers hard-working folks on GAB has one.

Oh I know, I know. I said to her, "You don't know his last name?" but I didn't puShakespeare because she definitely realizes her mistake now.

Up north we're all happy shiny trusting people who don't lock our doors and leave our keys in the ignition.

So hey, if you want to squat in someone's house or get a new car, come on up!

"Up North?" Finland?

So I was in a band with this pair of tits woman singer. She comes up to me one day saying that a friend of hers (It really was a friend of hers) had a penpal who was sending her letters threatening her, her family, her goldfish, etc.

Turns out he was in prison for multiple homicides.

Since I was at the time working for the DA, she axes me what should her friend do?

This was the first sign that Friend was a few ribs short of a rack. "Dahhhhhh, call the police?" I said.

Your friend is a genius compared to some people.

BTW, turns out the guy in the office next to mine put the guy in prison and he'll be there until the US gets its third black female president.

Have her copyright the work. Then wait. If you see it anywhere sue the company that is showing it.

Or send the girl some cheese and a note saying live and learn.

I done did got scammed by a dude named Mark Oursler, formerly of Ohio and Florida, then he live(d) in Houston, Tx with his wife Sherri and their five dirty kids.

He was hired to replace the siding on my house, took the half down deposit, showed up a few days, did crappy work, then his crew quit, then he and his lover partner Charles Urbina stopped showing up. Promises were made to return my money (about $4000), never happened, sued him in small claims, he didn't show up, I won.

He's since moved from his rented house. I went there and missed him by 2 days. His neighbor and I had a nice conversation, however.

You should be able to get the info on the principal of the company through the state & an address to serve papers.

The good stalkers are probably waiting until tomorrow when you have some real information. Like a last name.

Yeah, no kidding. I sure hope its on there. My thoughts are that it might be a fake name, or at the very least a fake company name. I couldn't dig up any info on it.

She's a smart girl but when I offered to help find this guy I had to ask three times for more info. Why wouldn't you just give someone all the info you had up front? Well, that's what I would do.

But aaaaaanyway...I'll keep you stalkers updated.
