I need your help. I'm trying to find an address or e-mail address for Bill Waterson, the guy who did the Calvin and Hobbes comics. I'm sure it's out there somewhere, right?

I really don't want to have to write a letter addressed "c/o Bill Waterson" to some publishing company- those never go through.

Go to metafilter and do a search for him. There was an article linked there, and I think contact info was included.

You're welcome.

I thought Prodigy went out of business or merged? How would I search it?

If man is 5,

Then the devil is 6,

Then God is 7.

Just thought you'd like to know.

4?

Anyway- have you tried to search info on Chagrin Falls, his hometown, where he apparently retired to? I'm bored, and until my wife wakes up, this could be entertaining.

Can't find it searching Metafilter. I'll try the city idea.

Damn. Because I know I'd love to give a handjob to the man who taught me half of my vocabulary.

You know, I've been accused of manic articulation and vehement verbosity in the past. What could I get for teaching you the other half?

Well, I sent an e-mail to the town of Chagrin Falls (where he does live), and another one to one of the reporters. Hopefully I'll get some sort of reply, and then bump this thread tomorrow so Nutbutter and the others will see it.

You must have a very short word list.

Why did the first post and the one I just posted get a click? Is it that I'm finally getting auto-clicks?

I very, very, very much doubt that you'll get to talk to him. He's a total recluse and tight-ass. Notice a lack of C&H merchandise? Secondly, last year (I've lost contact now) I was good friends with the wife of a cartoonist who got me the autographs of Jerry Scott (Zits), Bill Amend (Foxtrot), and Johen Vasquez (Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Invader Zim). As much as I begged and pleaded she said there was no way she could get to Bill Waterson. Good luck though and if you do find a number or an address, you are Jesus's bitch.

Bill Waterson never existed. He is actually one of Satan's pen names.

I should warn you, the last time I was a minion (I was going by the name Lucifer at the time), it didn't really work out. If you're okay with that, what kind of benefits do you offer? Dental? Also, can I keep the pitchfork? I'm pretty attached to it.

Jesus. Get all technical about it whydoncha. No. The pitchfork is mine. I'm evil enough to need the pitchfork all on my own, just ask Phuc.

If you're going to talk about Jesus all the time, I'm going to have to decline your position. He's sort-of one of my arch nemeses (I have three of those, by the way). They're a super Trinity of Holiness, or something. But I've got fire, and horns, and I think I've got a spare pitchfork around here somewhere.

Tabby,

The first clickie on this thread was done by mistake, and missing the 'X' on a popup window from another site had something to do with it.

You now know who gave you phantom clickie #1.

My tribute to Bill Watterson, anagram style:

Trite snowball

Tell St. Rainbow

Stellar bit, now

Swollen art bit

Winter's Ballot

Sob, written all!

Absent: Roll wit

Bill: answer tot!

Worst in ballet

Stir new ballot

Low banter list

No battle swirl

SOB! Written all?
