Asian people are weird

So I went to Yale's admitted students program dealie, where they try to get admitted students to matriculate. I went to my first college party, had my first taste of vodka, and generally had quite a bit of fun with my parents 1500 miles away and totally clueless about exactly what I was doing.

Anyway, besides learning about hyena reproduction in a nice intro bio lecture (female hyenas have evolved penis-like clitorises/clitorii that also serve as birth canals. Every time they give birth, the clitoris is totally shredded, and they must grow a new one), I discovered that some Asian people are too Asian for their own good.

For example, I was walking to a master class with these two Asian girls I had met all of two seconds ago. One of them asked me, "Where are you from?" Quite logically, I responded with, "Austin, Texas." Her response? "No, I mean, where are you really from?"

Honestly. It was like she was asking me what brand of yellow I was.

Llama! Baby! We missed you.

So tell us, do Yale girls go wild? And if so, what kind of beads will we need?

You think that is weird, I was in the grocery store the other day, to buy some deli meat for dinner. When I get to the counter this guy takes one look at me and in the most 'red neck' accent I have ever herd says

"You is an in-indyan aintch you?"

I'd never heard it put that bluntly before, most people just kind of say. "I'm sorry but, what are you?" Like they are worried I might smack them for the question. This guy come right out and said it. It was all I could do from falling on the floor laughing at the way he asked.

I have been mistaken for Native American, Mexican, and Middle Eastern.

And Llama, you make me proud. I think a lot of Asians let their race define their life too much. I haven't really had any problems with this, but my brother has experienced other Asians looking down on him for being mixed. It's bullShakespeare. I'm glad you identify yourself by who you are and not where your parents were born.

Right on! Could you talk to my buddy Jerry Ku, he has not spoken to me in almost a year. He seems to think that calling someone Asian is raciest, and a generalization of all people who have ancestry in Asia. He stopped talking to me when I replied to this with.

"Duh."

I hope Llama posts soon to say that her parents were born in Austin, Texas. Then she and Briham can fight and it will be super cool 'cause they both probably know lots of martial arts.

Strictly speaking, isn't SR the oldest Asian here?

He seems to think that calling someone Asian is raciest [sic]

Hahah, my mom is like that. I was telling her about all the Mexicans in Tucson, and she said "No, you mean hispanics." And I said, "No mom, people from Mexico are called Mexicans." How Shakespearety does a country have to be when being called a citizen of it is racially insensitive?

Don't most Asians look a little different based on their country of origin? Hence the rhyme "Chinese, Japanese, Dirty Knees, Look at These."

Its like those girls were saying you all look alike and they couldn't tell.
