Why I have rose thorns in my hair.

To realise why the events in this story happened, you must first understand that I don't carry a house-key. I usually arrive home with someone who does, when there is already someone home or I use the spare key. Now today there wasn't a key, I may have not put it back last time. I really needed to pee.

Today I was locked out. I had to climb the trellis (7-8 foot and covered in roses), edge along the top of it for about 6 feet, then climb onto the roof backwards.

Then I creeked along to roof to the upstairs bathroom window, where I had to crouch down and sqeeze through, only to find that I was still a long way from the ground. I blalanced one foot on the top of the toilet and jumped down.

Then there was water gushing out the top of the toilet. Oops. Knowing nothing about plumbing, I turned the tap on the wall until the water stopped.

Then I ran down the stairs to get to the alarm in time. As I was jumping down the stairs the external alarms went off and as I was keying in the code the indoor alarms went off for a second.

Then istead of waiting by the phone for the security people to ring, I went to pee. I really needed to go. So mid-stream the phone goes. I had to get to the phone and give them the password so they didn't send someone out to check the place but I couldn't stop midpee. I tried, and nearly peed on myself. When I was done I ran to the phone holding my jeans up with one hand and just got there in time.

Then, full of adrenaline, I get on the computer to post about my adventure on Gab.

Yeah, I'm really going to post illustrated intructions of how to break into my house.

The weirdest part was trying to look natural when someone drove past and I balanced on the trellis. I stopped to tie my shoelace when I was on the roof, to try and give the impression of "oh yeah, I do this everyday."

I think the pictures they're talking about would be of you running around your house with your pants falling off.

Neep is just lovely. One can always count on her to be involved in something odd or bizarre. McPants has no problem understanding why she's attracted to Chris Garrett.

By the way, why don't you have keys, Neep? Lost one too many?

I'd send Neep a master key, but I'm afraid of "red underwear"

Did I mention that I'm wearing my kilt to school today? We have a mufti day and because 7th formers don't have to wear uniform anyway, we dress up. The theme 70s and blatant opshop have been done too many times, so Jaggy and I are wearing our kilts.

Their other goods points are that they don't try to borrow money from me, and they smell better than Austrians.

When i heard rose-thorns, i thought this was gunna be some blasphemous tale of how you wore a crown of thorns, and nailed yourself to the cross. Boy was i disappointed.

We have a mufti day

A day when students can pay $2 to charity and wear mufti (street clothes as opposed to uniform) for the day.

7th formers

Students in the final year of highschool, most are 17/18.

The theme 70s and blatant opshop

Surely Americans had the 1970s aswell? And have second-hand stores?

When my mum went to the parent/teacher interveiws this year, she sat with my (hippy) chemistry teacher comparing the protests they went on in the 70s. I seriously can't take her anywhere.

Do your 7th form guys take mufti day as a good reason to cross dress, or was our school just weird?

The other common thing to do was come to mufti day in your old uniform, just to get out of the $2, that and it gave you a good excuse to attack any third former that laughed at you for wearing uniform on mufti day...

Some people wear uniform, including teachers, but that is usually on the last one of the year. We usually have about 4. Some guys take the chance to cross-dress. Hell, even I was cross dressing in my manly kilt and sporran.

A couple of 6th form boys wore speedos. And these aren't small boys we're talking either. My friends and I were teaching one of our techers to play with devil sticks at interval and one of them walked past. She was trying to decide whether she was allowed to refuse his entry to her class. She ended up making him cover himself with his towel. But his next teacher, my calculus teacher, refused to have him in her class with his bits hanging out and the principal sent him home to change.

Mmmmm, appetising.

*shudders while remembering the christmas tree shaped teacher that used to wear the girls uniform on mufti day*

Yeah, some of our teachers did that too.

The cross dressing thing was most common on special occasions, like swimming sports. I found my blue dress last time I cleaned out my room back home actually. I don't think it'd fit me anymore, besides, waaaay too Monica.

That is the first second good argument I have ever heard for wearing school uniforms.

To extort money from the students. Brilliant !

1) Create a rule.

2) Enforce it.

3) Charge money to disobey new rule.

4) Create more rules.

5) Rinse, Repeat.

Hey Psycho, is Psych better as a major in a BA or a BSc? I'll be taking science and arts papers whichever one I do. And Vic or Canterbury?

Apparently, crossdressing is far more common than i thought. Wow.

We used to be able to pay like $5 to get out of class every now and again. If our sports team had a homegame, we would be able to pay 5$ to get out of class, then pay for the tickets. I just payed the 5 bucks and left.

I did it as a BSc, simply because I started off doing physics and chemistry :-/ Looking back, I really should've done a BA and mixed in fun Shakespeare like Politics and Philosophy. It depends what extra papers you wanna do. When you do honours you can call it whatever you want, regardless of your undergrad.

As for which uni, depends which town you prefer. I think Chch would be a bit cheaper, and Wlg really lacks the proper student feeling. It's really up to you.

If you have particular subject interests, let me know and I'll tell you if Vic kicks ass in them.

It just got worse! Dad works with the wife of the security guy that rang (I used to do ballet with their daughter, son too at one stage). I didn't realise it was him at the time, I was kind of distracted. Anyway, he now knows that he got me off the toilet. My dad... grrr.
