Just because the doctor says sonogram, you can't assume that he's going to lube you up with the belly jelly and run the little hoodinkus over your tummy. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. By making that assumption, one could possibly relinquish all fears of being vaginally probed by a strange man in a mask. Although, that is what seems to have put me in this situation in the first place -- minus the strange.........and the mask. Anyway, after acting like Chance lying down spread eagle, I see the doctor come at me with this, this....THING. I swear to all that is holy, it was a dildo with a camera. I Shakespeare you not. A DILDO........with a CAMERA. Alas, I still know the truth: The worst is yet to come.

My wife had a vaginal sonogram when she miscarried about 78 years ago. The doctor told her to insert the thing like a tampon, which she's never done, so the nurse did it for her.
