Im actually fond of my little frogs. I have a 50 gallon aquarium filled half way with water and an island on top. My froggys live on the island while my fisheys live below!

Plus I need the precious toad stool for my brew.

No,somehow the island disappeared under water last night...and he drowned. The other was clinging for dear life. I saved him when I woke up. As soon as pet smart opens up I'm going to get a new island and some more rocks...and all the froggys I can carry!

I don't have any froggies. I used to have ferrets. They were cool until they started stealing stuff. Now, they're both doing time in San Quentin.

Fire-bellied toads are not TRUE toads. They were seperated from the disc-tongue frogs and placed in their own family. There are 6 species of fire bellied toads. Toads are usually large, and mine are pretty small.

I have a Island Vivaria set up in my large aquarium. Its not really ideal for these frogs/toads, but they can survive happily on emersed land areas. So as they like a little dip in the water occassionally, they need to live on the land.

The aquarium here in Baltimore has a cool frog exhibit.



And as far as losing pets mysteriously, we once went through 7 fish in 7 days, none of them lasting more than 48 hours.

Oh and you just cant buy fish and throw them in your tank, you have to make sure you add the water softner and chlorine remover. Then of course have them sit in the bag for about 20 minutes. Also its good to have you tank set up and running for at least 24 hours before adding fish.

As a kid, I was raised by a Cool 350 lb black woman named L.Z. who watched us and cleaned house while my folks were at work.



We had a big fish tank that one day sprung a leak and she just kept mopping up the water.



When my folks finally got home, there were about ten dead fish and two wiggling around in moist gravel.



It was waaay sad.

At one time I had 26 aquariums. I raised Discus. I've never had frogs, but understand the coolness of having them.

You need to develop healthy bacteria in the tank for fish to thrive.

You're supposed to LICK the frogs back for the best effect, NOT drink their stool.



But, considering how whacky and strange you are most of the time, I think you already know this.



Be carefull of the green ones! I licked one of those once, and became convinced that I was Stephen Hawking. I jacked a wheelcahir and a laptop, and for three days I ran around hospitals trying to talk to nurses in a mechanical voice to convince them to come home with me.

I still havent named my new frog. Shes sleeping comfortably on my bed. 8 weeks old and she has just been spayed.

You ever notice when you go adopt animals something tragic always ALMOST happened to them? Yeah well mine was rescued with her four siblings from the back of a garbage truck! Almost compacted they were!
