Yeah, Spicey and I went to see the new movie this afternoon. It was cool. Lots of explosions and dead mutants. However, soon after the show was over, it became clear to me why teh Haggis was a virgin for 29 years. Not only did he make us stay past the credits to see the bonus scene, but these are the comments he made afterward:

--It's upsetting that after 3 movies Gambit still didn't have a role. I mean, come on! GAMBIT.

--If they make another movie, Patrick Stewart probably won't be in it. That's a shame, because he was made for the part. Though, did you know that there was a cross-over comic that had Star Trek and X-Men in it? When you think about that, it just messes with your mind.

--Did you know that there's a mutant called Stacey X, and that's she's a hooker? That's just awesome. There was a rumor that she was going to be in the movie but that ended up not being true, because it was just in the casting call stuff.

--Hey, my superpower is multiple orgasms!

Though I have to say that the movie was made much more interesting by the fact that Spicey was going commando today for the first time. And that he promised to show me his superpower later.

Also, they made no mention of Juggernaut being Xavier's brother. They were total strangers in this movie. And Juggernaut was not nearly as powerful as he could have been.

Are we allowed to post spoilers? On the assumption that we are....

I never liked Jean Grey. In the last two movies she was such a Coleridgetease towards Logan, I couldn't understand why he and Scott were ga ga over her. Then she went and killed my beloved Charles. HEINOUS BITCH!!!!! I am so glad that Logan killed her in the end, I hope she Frost-ing stays dead.

I was actually crying my eyes out in the theater when Charles died. I sat there trying to subtly wipe away the tears so that the numerous teenage boys surrounding me didn't think I was a Poe. Just cause I have one doesn't mean I am one.

I just got back from the theater. In the interest of not giving myself an ulcer, I won't say anything about the plot of the movie.

However.

Brett Ratner needs to be taken out back and shot through the head. Can't Hollywood arrange this? It's not like he's ever made a decent movie- I doubt anyone would miss him. Really, if some Muslim cleric placed a jihad on him, would ANYONE object at this point? All this guy does is kill promising franchises.

Halle Berry needs to die too. She's a terrible actress. How she won an Oscar is going to take up an entire chapter of some future textbook on affirmative action. I hope a tsunami kills her. It would be worth it, if just for the spectacle of her struggling to deliver "I'm drowning" in any sort of convincing manner. (Can the Academy Awards revoke Oscars? I think in this case, it's justified. They could melt down her award into its composite metals and use them to poison Brett Ratner.)

By the way, I haven't actually seen the movie yet, but you get the idea.

When Xavier was killed (I noticed the wink... come on...)I whispered to my friend "pink mist". The two hour code black episode of Grey's anatomy was on Monday night, so he replied, "you bitch. You heartless bitch."

I made my entire class wait to see the ending after the credits ("hey wankers! Sit back down and wait for the ending"). The cool kids (who claimed they didn't want to see the film in the first place) sat back down silently to watch. Hah, one film and they are whipped!

The closing scene is very short. A nurse (the one that had been in that little clip Xavier had been showing the students about transferred conciousness) goes over to a patient, and he says something along the lines of, "Hello, Ms. What-ever-her-name-was" and it's clearly Xavier's voice. Xavier lives on!

There. I said it. I've either ruined it for everyone, or saved you all the trouble of waiting to the end of the credits.
