Being away from home isn't an excuse to drive like an idiot. I assume that you all have been taught what to do at a four-way stop such as the one near my house. Use that knowlege.

4-way-stop? Is that one of those intersections where people honk their horns and make rude hand gestures at you while you're driving through it?

You think you have it bad? In summer, the area where I live is literally flooded
with tourists. What's worse, they're mostly Canadians Qubcois!

What's so bad about that? Canadians are nice, stupid and easy to rob.

Yeah, but he said Qubcois. Having spent part of a summer surrounded by them, I have to say that there's not a decent person among them.
Wait, where does Mailman live? Because if he's one, then he is the only decent person among them.

i was visiting portland, maine a few years ago, a town which apparently hasn't heard of lawsuits yet because no one shovels the sidewalks despite a foot and a half of snow. i made it through the block without slipping on the ice and cracking my head open, only to find an intersection where ALL FOUR pedestrian ligts were red. confused, i contemplated the situation for a sec and decided that's the sign for jaywalking. seeing no cars, i stepped off the curb and immediately, almost got hit by a car turning into the street.
on the bus ride home, we had to transfer in boston and i wound up sitting next to a friendly chap from portland. i asked him what's the deal with their pedestrian lights. he said, "oh we just got them put in a few days ago." unbelievable. i told him in the rest of the country, pedestrian lights serve an actual purpose and we don't just get them for decoration to switch on like xmas tree lights.

What a shame...my (former) Statemates really have to work harder on preventing this from occuring again. Next time, let them know you're coming, they'll make SURE you slip.
