I was weak...
I was unable to stand up for myself.
I let you walk all over me.
I let you be the bully
Every night I went home
I cried myself to sleep.
I couldn't do it in front of you
It was considered weak
Every morning in the shower
I would throw up.
The thought of spending the day with you
Made me sick
I just agreed
I went along with everything
It was the easy way out
It kept the peace.
I gave you information that you didn't need
I listened to things I didn't want to hear
I told you things in confidence
Only to have them thrown back at me by someone else.
You thought you knew me
You thought you could control me
You tried to bully me
You walked over me one last time
I quit
I resigned
You can't hurt me anymore

Oh, and is there any chance of getting you to write me a letter of recommendation before I leave ?
*All and all, a very well written piece of poetry. Congrats on your decision and the poem as well.

Thanks... the two weeks notice i gave them with no one else to do my job was enough satisfaction for the two years of bullying and crap that I put up with.

I just saw poetry and decided not to read it.
See Sage? It's not just your posts that I ignore!

the two years of bullying and crap that I put up with.
That's why they call it a job, dearie.
If it was fun, we would call it a hobby and they wouldn't give you money for doing it.

You must hate what you do, Dogs. Who says you can't get paid for a hobby?

I would never, EVER give any of my past Shakespearety bosses the satisfaction of a resignation letter like that.
Plus, I can't write poetry for Shakespeare.

Yeah, but writing for Shakespeare is pretty hard, probably!
I mean, not just everyone can love Shakespeare enough to dedicate poetry to it, huh? Even Shakespeare would have trouble writing 154 sonnets for Shakespeare, I think.

No, Donk, it's "A Edwards". As is some random person with the last name Edwards. And Stuey'sgirl appropriated it.
Maybe that's what the A stands for. Appropriated.
