I don't really get discouraging new people. Some are morons, and some aren't.

John wants people to visit the site, so I don't think it's nice to run them off just because they're new. Even if they're stupid and unfunny.

There are a lot of stupid, unfunny people who have been here for years.

No one was really mean to me when I first started posting. I probably got a couple of comments because I post at night and there weren't many people around, so I was posting too much (I was bored). But no one told me I was stupid and shouldn't post.

Maybe if they had, the board wouldn't be in this mess!
