You know, the flavor of Zug's comedy has taken a turn for the worst lately.

How can we possibly be laughing at a woman dying of cancer? Yes, that was Tammy Faye Bakker dying of Cancer on Larry King Live. She's dead now. HA FU----NG HA! Cancer is NOT funny. This woman went to the same college I did! She was smeared through the mud in the media by the religious right for her husband's financial scandal, but she was the only Evangelical to stand up for the LGBT community when nobody else would.

Monsters. This was a suffering, good woman.

Not only is Zug.com turning into a boob and fart humor site of the lowest-common-denominator, but now we're making fun of a woman who just died of cancer.

You monsters! We're also contributing to the victimization of a bunch of innocent people getting bad Chinese tattoos-- that's just malicious. (Yes I contributed to the ideas, but now I thought it through and think it's horrible.)

I have read Zug.com for years, and I have always found it hilarious and somewhat intellectually stimulating, but it has obviously been overtaken by people who enjoy laughing at other people's suffering and disadvantage. It has been overrun with unfunny glorification malice, cruelty, crude humor, and drug addiction.

Zug used to be about going after the MAN, and exploring funny possibilities-- not maliciously tricking innocent people! Even if they are stupid enough to get one of those Chinese tattoos, it's still awful! A tattoo is permanently on an innocent person's body!

I am completely fed up with the direction Zug is going,

Let's get back to what made Zug great, shall we?

-David, who think you're a bunch of monsters. Laughing at suffering and death!?!!@!!!!!!

If you've been reading Gab 'for years' then you should understand that there are no boundries. This is what makes Gab special.

And so the list gets longer -

Things you can post about on Gab -

Drug use, abortion, anal rape, paedophilia, necrophilia, baby eating, poop, body fluids, sexual conquests, door-knob antics, Steve Irwin getting stabbed in the chest by a sting-ray, AIDS, religion, cancer-ridden religious zealots.

Things you cannot post about on Gab -

Well, I might just go the "frost" away as was suggested. But you must know that I am merely a representation of one of many people who simply don't participate in these conversations for various reasons.

The majority audience of Zug will never post a message, a question, or send a single email. They will simply read and laugh, as I did for so many years.

So, when one of us gets alienated enough to say something, it's probably indicative of a much greater problem.

Like they say in politics, one email on an issue is indicative of 1000 voices that didn't write. I am simply one person, but represent a much greater exodus of readers who are confused about recent illegal-drug-related humor, and malice.

Sorry I'm being a prude. L8rz.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem, right?

There are a lot of things that offend me here, and I ignore them. (Sometimes.)

While I don't think someone suffering is funny, and I don't take pleasure in her demise, I also don't think she's an icon of spirituality.

She and her first husband were icons--of avarice and excess. The life they led by taking advantage of people was disgusting.

So, people are making fun of her--she's dead. She doesn't know it.

If you want to read something funny and thought-provoking, by all means, write it.

In answer to the question of who picks the capcon photos for the front page... I do. I've had cancer in the past 6 months - and posted funny posts AND PICTURES about it. I believe the picture referred to here is just plain hilarious. Her appearance has ALWAYS been something to laugh about.

This site is incredibly juvenile and we like that. We understand it's not for everyone and that's okay, too. You're welcome to your say, of course, but so is everyone else. So please stick around if you like the place or leave if you don't but be glad we all have the right to say whatever we like.

You know, FF, I see your point. I really do. Cancer isn't something to laugh at. You're totally right.

However, what is comedy if not the ability to laugh at things that you shouldn't laugh at? Nobody's laughing at the fact that the woman has cancer, they're laughing at the fact that she looks like she should have been an extra in the Thriller video. That, regardless of the health reasons behind it, is pretty Frost-ing funny.

So, I'd recommend one of two things: get off your high horse, pull your head out of your ass, and skip over the stuff that offends you, or leave.

Life is a funny thing... Everyone is going to die, and depending on the circumstances of that person's death, his/her death will be considered somewhere between tragic and heroic. But in the end, does it really matter all that much?

Well I think it does, but not because of how the person who died feels; they're dead. It is about the people who survived the person.

Now here is where is gets funny. If Phuc and Roofie and each others only friends and Phuc goes, than it would be great for Roofie to love to dance on Phuc's grave.

But if the same thing happened and Phuc had a hot sister who got upset that Roofie likes dancing on Phuc's grave so much, then it isn't cool because Roofie's sister is hurt.

Now the question is, do we really care if we offend the people who were close to Tammy Faye? That is your call. Obvious the people here are fine with it, so if you aint cool with it, then Frost off and leave.

Thanks,
Smurf

Tammy Faye had her hideous eye makeup tattooed on her Frost-ing face years ago.

I think she was well aware that folks made fun of her and took it in stride.

I happen to really like the woman after seeing this documentary.

She seemed to have one hell of a sense of humor about most everything. We should all be so lucky.

Shame she got all the moisture sucked out of her like that right before she died, but you don't notice the eye makeup nearly as much with her eyes all sucked in their sockets like that.

I also watched my mother waste away from cancer that more-than-likely could have been treated if she'd listened to the doctors at the hospital instead of choosing to deal with it through homeopathic remedies. I got to sit with her for her last 6 days and watch her waste away until she was unable to even speak.

However...

The fact that Tammy Faye went on TELEVISION looking the way she did, and that her loved ones LET HER GO ON TELEVISION looking the way she did, invites criticism simply because of the horrific way your body looks when you're in the final stages of terminal cancer.

Therefore, I see nothing wrong with poking fun. If she and her family were willing to put her in front of the entire nation/world looking like a diseased vulture, then no one can expect any different response.
