One of the things that really made me think about this so much is that, when I got the box of dolls from my Dad in the late 90's, I had just received a Master Billy doll as a gift. The complaint from one of my friends was that there were no tranny dolls available anywhere (the "Drag Queen Ken" hadn't come out yet, and didn't fit the bill anyway), so I used customized one of my dolls with still-decent hair for him using polymer clay.

I had never thought of just making Barbies anatomically correct. I'd never screw around with a major corporation, anyway - creating an individual work of art using a company's product as the base is one thing, but mass-production will cost you every cent you ever thought of making, and when the press picks up on it, you're suddenly known as that pervert who puts penises on children's toys!
