This one isn't covered in Emily Post, so I'm turning to you lot for inspiration. I've been asked to be a witness at a gay wedding. This will be my fifth time serving as best man (sixth time if you count both of my brother F.X.'s weddings), and I am familiar with all my responsibilities, and expect to fulfill them all with great style. There is one detail, however, upon which I am stuck: the bachelor party. I have thrown several, with different needs, requirements and circumstances, and they have all turned out very well. So well, in fact, that I feel I have a certain reputation to uphold. But I'm stumped. Do both grooms get invited, or just the one who asked me to stand up for him? Do I stick to all men, or do I invite the lesbians? And what about strippers? Any and all help will be appreciated.

<serious> -I would ask the half that invited you if they want a joint bachelor party or separate parties. More than likely, they will want separate parties because that's part of the fun of a "bachelor party". -I had gay guys at my bachelorette party because they were good friends of mine. I would invite the lesbians. -Either hire a stripper(s) or if you're going to be bar-hopping, make sure to include a venue that provides adult entertainment in the form of strippers. </serious> -Call Vince.

I don't know the answers to your questions, but I do know that after the party you should wash your fife before sticking it in your mouth.

There is one simple answer which will make sure you are covered, no matter who you invite to the party...Tranny's. Everyone loves the Trans-gendered! And take lots of pictures. Email in profile.

Did you suddenly lose my email addy? Or my landline number? Or how about my cell phone number? One gay bachelor party to which I was not invited, but cooked for (back in 2000, and got paid for, in cash) featured movies on VHS such as "Valley of The Dolls," "Pink Flamingos," and "Harder Studs." Both partners attneded, and everyone had facials and Mimosas or Bellinis. Sheesh, do I have to tell you everything?

I like Declan's idea - but throw in a little H.R. Puff'N'Stuff vids too and make sure everyone knows the definition of the "facials" they can expect. Or, arrange for a VIP party booth at a local drag show venue. That's always fun!! Yes, invite the lesbians and I'd invite both partners.

Not that kind of facial, Trae, darling. I saw the video made of the party, and the facials came from the Clinique and La Prairie counters.

everyone had facials and Mimosas or Bellinis. These guys are gay, but they aren't faigs. If I suggested facials or mimosas, I'd probably get my ass kicked. By the way, bro, you'll be invited. The two brides are George and Greg.

How trendy of them. They have only been together since 1994. Is one of them pregnant?

Whistler made Diet Coke come out of my nose. It's settled then. Just have Declan as the entertainment. Everyone LOVES a magician.

Decorate the room in pink, play back-to-back episodes of Will and Grace and serve cocktails with those little umbrellas. All gays like those. *runs for cover*

Being serious. Normally, The one who invited you is the one you throw the party for. BUT, they might not want seperate parties. They might love to get co-lapdances at Chipendales. My brother went to a drag show with his future-wife the day before he got married. You invite whoever is their friends, male or female. Lesbians shouldn't have a problem with a male stripper being in the same room as them (as long as the stripper isn't rubbing up against them). Talk to the one who invited you... then talk to the couple. Some people have issues about their "spouse" having a last harrah (innocent or not).

I'm not sure whether trying to explain what I meant there would make things better or worse. I'll just back away slowly.
