I can't say this out loud. I can only say it on the internet. If I mention it aloud here in Maine I will be lynched, hung from a tree with organic free-trade hemp rope. But I can say it on the internet... I think Obama sucks. THERE I SAID IT.

I will not hang you from a tree. Tell me why you think Obama sucks.

I'm no fool...you don't get to where he is being a Boy Scout, but I think he's the best shot we(working, middle-class, regular folk)'ve got.

McCain is a good man, but he'Shakespeareched himself to Bushes wagon (the one with square wheels and a 28% approval rate). More of the same McCain.

Hilliary...oh, HELL no. Her life is a Political Rocky Horror Picture Show.

You guys say Nadar is ugly and can't win (I like him).

Ron Paul wears too much make-up. Oh, that's RuPaul...anyway, he's got the flat tax idea, but not much else.

Chickens-N-Rice fizzled when she refused to have Pubahs baby.

What are our choices?

The current administration has impoverished our country by letting their cronies steal hundreds of billions of dollars from the public weal.

Although McCain is not from the same clique, a lot of the same people now stealing from us will still have access to McCain.

Obama will bring in a different groups of thieves.

I'm all for change.

Obama is so squeaky clean and exciting that he will either:

a) reveal himself to be the antichrist

b) be the most incompetent president since Jimmy Carter

That said, I'd rather vote for the son of Satan than McCain, Nader is the only person rendered more obsolete by technology than Mccain, and Kucinich and Gravel make the most sense but of course they fell into Crazy Lake so long ago that no one will take them seriously in a political arena ever again.

Now, a gold-plated saint might get my vote. If he were also Mormon. Those crazy Mormons always crack me up.

I hear a lot of people voice reservations about him, but when pressed, they don't give a lot of answers.

The thing that struck me as a total suck-fest of Obama's little "trip" is this - what if he loses? All that cash, time and effort down the drain. I can see this coming from someone who was newly elected our president but from someone who hasn't even picked a running mate yet?
Seems to me he feels he has this election in the bag but I don't think he should be so confident.

Hey Whistler, think you could round up the band for a 2010 reunion? I wasn't alive in 1980.

We have a reunion the fourth weekend in July, every year. We no longer have those uniforms, though, and even if we did, very few of us would still fit in them.

Lake Placid 1980?

So YOU were our Hockey team's secret weapon!

Can you play at the Democratic National Convention? America needs all the help she can get.

I was at the game when the U.S. hockey team defeated the U.S.S.R. (the so-called Miracle on Ice).

Unfortunately, I couldn't get tickets for the final game, when the U.S. beat Finland to win the gold. I was out in the parking lot with a couple of thousand other people. Some of the t.v. crews set televisions on top of their trucks and we all watched the game out in the cold while passing around bottles.

When the game ended, the parking lot crowd spontaneously burst into song - God Bless America. It was an unforgettable moment.

I highly recommend going to see the Olympics if you ever get the chance.

Yes, if I ever get to Chance...it will be an Olympics

..."And now the Twinkie covered, upside down sporking event. The present record is held by..."

Seriously, great story Whistler. Wish I'd been there. But I did donate 25 bucks to the team and got a cool pewter mug...

...it's all corroded inside now.
