It's so easy being green!

My phone company recently changed its logo. The big ad campaign they launched to reveal their new look is all over the city; unless you live as a reclusive troglodyte, it is impossible to miss. This week, I received my phone bill in the mail; the envelope has the company's old logo on it, but the following message is printed on the back of the envelope to explain why:
"Hey, didn't we change our logo? - Yes, we did. But since part of making today better means not wasting paper, we're using up the old stationery first. You can help save even more trees by signing up for paperless billing."
Ah, so they are saving trees to protect the environment. After all, even with the old logo, these are perfectly good envelopes. Sounds reasonable, right?

Let me pause here for a bit, to reflect the fact that it took me a few seconds before it all sank in.

...

The company changed its logo, but they did not immediately print envelopes with the new logo on them, because that would be bad for the environment. Yet the "old stationery" that they are using up contains a message about the company's new logo.

So what they did was they printed new envelopes, with the old logo on them, and a message on the back explaining why the stationery still has the old logo. Being green has never been easier.

Hmmm...Bell?

Or perhaps, they had the old envelopes printed, and just re-printed the back with that message. Like, that way they would just waste ink, not paper.

Yea, I didn't think so either.

I am not a reclusive troglodyte, just a regular kind.

What did I win? Is it a cat? I hope its not a cat. I lost the last one in a BBQ horrible and unfortunate house fire.

I got this cut on my leg last week.

First it was pink, then it was red with white stuff.

Now it's green and puffy.

It really was easy--I didn't have to do jack Shakespeare!
