A lot of Japanese food uses soy sauce and a great deal of sugar. I think the one they sell the most to us Americans is called "Teriyaki".

And you also know that few Americans would have never put Anago/Unagi (saltwater/freshwater eel) in their mouth unless it was so generously anointed in that yummy glaze and maybe sprinkled with a few toasted sesame seeds.

However it seems like overkill when it comes to bacon. I only want my bacon... maybe wrapped in more bacon.
