- Chris F. is definitely the best developer we've ever had working on the site. He completely rewrote the back-end (or in layman's term, the "ass") of the site, and has worked tirelessly for several months on everything from server configuration to the best way to calculate rankings. He is Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neal Peart rolled up into one.

- Brandon A. is our young prodigy responsible for the front-end (or "winky") of the site, converting all new templates into CSS-driven tableless layouts, and building all the little dynamic apps like the new login/points box and the dynamic "Create Comedy" page. Everything slick and Web 2.0 is Brandon's.

- Matt S. is our award-winning designer who worked patiently and tirelessly for the entire summer to help us envision the new architecture, user experience, and overall brand direction. More than anyone, Matt helped us set the overall look, feel, and tone of the new site. (You're soaking in it.)

- Melissa A. is our incredibly hard-working production person who had the unglamorous job of taking a thousand pages of old ZUG content and porting it into the new site, then testing, tweaking, and refining again and again. Without her, the new ZUG would not have launched until sometime in July 2011.

- Al N., our completely anonymous and unknown illustrator, has cranked out hundreds of new drawings, icons, and buttons -- everything from the new ZUG Badges on the ZUG Live homepage, to the new user profile icons, to the illustrations on the homepage. The workload was so intense that we had to send him to a farm in Georgia so he could focus on this monumental task, but he did.

- Finally, our testing crew: Chris, Stuart, and Jim, who were incredibly helpful in tracking down issues, giving us the community point of view, and guiding the dozens of on-the-fly decisions that need to be made as you work on a site of this scope and size. Unlike the others, these guys gave their time and brainpower for free -- just the love of the site and what we're building here. (I sincerely thank you.)

Still lots of details to iron out, bear with us over the next week or two. In the meantime, show your appreciation for the people above by applauding loudly and wildly, and offering each of them sexual favors.

Hey, John, here's something that needs to be addressed.

The place in our profiles where we're allowed to put a little bio or whatever doesn't like either carriage returns or html links. The box is the same size (or bigger) than it used to be, but now it bunches everything together like a bad run-on sentence.

I guess I'll be putting up a whole new Icon Archive update later too...Damn you.

Oh, and while my icon is showing up with my posts and in my profile, when I go to update, it's not actually showing the image of the icon, but it's still giving me the choice. When I right clicked and told it to show image, it gave me the Abe Vigoda page.

I think all the bugs I noticed have already been pointed out, most notably HH's comments about the bio page.

The reason I didn't post this yesterday, though, is that Treo doesn't like it at all. The new Zug crashes ie mobile on the Treo 700W. Which is kind of sad for me, because all I really used the Treo for (besides as a phone) was GABbing, and a little bit of e-mail.

I've noticed another bug and have tested this with someone else last night: for some reason, when people click me, the orbs aren't added to my totals, but instead are added to theirs.

I don't know if it affects anyone else yet, but this better be fixed quickly, because not only is it depriving me of my sweet, sweet orbs, it also enables greedy rascals to give orbs to themselves each time I post.

When I use my saved bookmark button in Firefox 3 to navigate to Zug, or click the home button/tab in the blue area, I'm not logged in, but when I click on any of the other buttons/tabs, I'm logged in.
