The kid next door was a misfit. His two first names (Larry Dale) said it all. His family owned a poodle that slept with Larry Dale. So when the poodle was in heat and Larry Dale, wore the same clothes every day, as usual, it was no surprise that the male dogs in the neighborhood took a keen interest in him. This was back in the days when kids and dogs roamed the neighborhood freely. So here goes Larry Dale riding his bike down the street, chased by a pack of horny hounds. He races home to get away from them, but a big Great Dane tackles him and humps him silly. Five or six others of various sizes join in the canine bang, humping his head, back and feet while Larry Dale squeals like a school girl ``What are they doing to me?'' My dad, trying not to laugh, says, ``It's because of your dog.'' A perplexed Larry Dale looks up (punchline alert) and cries ``They don't even know I have a dog!''
