Am I missing something?

(besides humour, testicles, a brain, etc, etc, etc)
I was just hopping around the site and found the availability of custom icons by Al in the Zug store for the low price of $300! Is this some joke from the past that I'm missing? I'm all about supporting the site, but come on, $300?
Does it come with a rim job or something? I could get a custom tattoo for that much. Hell, $300 would get me around the world twice with Trae (from what I hear, at least). And now that she's pregnant does it count as a threesome?

And another thing:
There used to be titties on this site. I logged on with my dick in my hands (well, hand......fingers really) ready peruse the gallery of tattoos on fat chicks and couldn't find it anywhere.
You guys sold out, man.

$300 is not a typo - Al's art is awesome. Also, when we had an auction for it a few years back, that was the rate the icons went for - people were willing to pay it then, and I personally would be willing to pay it now, if I weren't as broke as Frost.
The titties are on a secret page that I can send you a link to for $300.

Congratulations Redwing.
Anyways, I'm not knocking his skills as an artist. The avatars are amusing and well done. And although a custom pic is a great novelty....300 dollars? Really? It's just such and intangible thing.
You could feed 100 starving kids for a week with $300.
How much of it does Al get, anyways?
And how many people have them?

I don't think Al gets anything. The site gets the money. I don't know this for sure, though--I may be just making it up because it sounds good.
One thing I Frost-ing HATE is people who bitch about the price of art. No one is forcing you to pay for it, so shut the Frost up about it. People pay money for art because they can't make it. The price is whatever someone is willing to pay--which as we have discovered, is $300. Personally, I think that's a bargain.
Besides, a custom icon IS a tangible thing. You can see it, can't you? What the Frost are you complaining about? You get to post your drivel here for free, don't you? Be thankful for it.

Alright, there is obviously no way I could win this debate so I will concede:
$300 is a fair price to pay for a custom 1" avatar for a website. Everyone who I've mentioned this to since making this thread feels the same way as well. When I told my wife, in fact, she said "that sounds like an excellent way to support the art community" and she certainly didn't say "that's Frost-ing retarded."
In all seriousness, it's a fine way to support ZUG. Forget about all those actual things you could buy with $300 (like 17 ZUG t-shirts).
Also in all seriousness, Millie needs to settle down and grab a dictionary. The word "tangible" in under "T". "PMS" is under "M" (for Millie).

I love Millie and Al, even though I can't afford either of them. Their art is the Shakespeare and I will pimp them to anyone with money. I dont actually covet an icon but ony because I can't think of one. A straw would be stupid. The star trek boobs are cool, but they watch me and creep me out.
Undies, what is the 4th? I saw a Spicey with underwear and two penguins.
Also, my post is stupid but it is grammatically awesome even though I'm tipsy. That makes me awesome. Plus I posted as me instead of Manhole for once.

I could make it, but the site doesn't allow you to upload or use your own icons.
Besides, a custom icon IS a tangible thing. You can see it, can't you?
Plus if I recall, you get the rights to use the image however you want. So in that aspect, it is quite similar to having someone make you a logo. It is custom, and representation of yourself. People pay far more than $300 for logos, so it is actually quite a deal.

The fourth icon is the onion sliver. I'm not sure if it's sweating or if that is ass slime slipping off of it. Either way, it's a sick piece of art. (By Al, of course.)
The Spicey underwear was created by Duh, who is a GABber long since disappeared. Al drew me one of the penguins, and I think Shelle drew the other. (My apologies if it was someone else.)

In fact, as a way of apologizing for my ignorance, I think I'm going to buy an icon. Hey Al, do you think you could draw one with me throwing a $300 bill into the trash?

"STUPIFY!"
The spell hit the Marinating Sash directly in the face. But, oddly enough, it seemed to have no effect. The Marinating Sash blinked, gave a slight hiccup, and continued to bellow its mindless rants.
"Blimy Harry." Ron chuckled. "It's like it can't get any stupider."
"Yea", said Harry, who was now placing his wand back in his cloak. "Think he could make it in the muggle world?"
"Not a chance" said Hermione, who had just closed her copy of "How to make Stupid No0bs Shut the Frost Up." "Even muggels aren't this stupid"

*sob* You can insult me and call me manly all you want. *sob* I've been insulted by much funnier and more clever people than you. *sob*
Almost sounds like a little girl being insulted by the boy she has a crush on......
Wait a second! You're in love with me! I knew it. This always happens to me. You've been trying to put on this gruff facade, meanwhile you've been pining for me to take you in my arms, brush your 80's bangs out of your face, and look deeply into your strangely haunting yet certainly maniacal eyes.
