Dan had just got back to a hotel (if you could call it that) where the agent had his office and where he also put up his comics. He'd been on the road for about 2 weeks and was a bit on the tired side. All he wanted was to lay down for a nap. So he checked in and it just happened that the front desk clerk. She was a woman that had a very quick wit and sharp tongue. They chatted for awhile and Dan got his key. The agent spotted him in the hall way, called Dan into the office and started to ask about every single show. How were the crowds, how was the management, question after question. Dan told the agent he had to rest cause he was slated to perform in 4 hours. The agent should have remembered this. Anyway Dan went to his room and did what every comic does, CHECK THE BED. Dan whipped the top sheet back and noticed an huge red spot in the middle of the bottom sheet. He was disgusted and stormed down to the front desk with the sheet. "What kind of crap is this, its not clean, looks like a damn Japanese flag, he shouted. The front desk lady in a very cool, calm voice said, "Dan, I've seen your act and you don't change that for every show, we only have one set of sheets for that room, do you expect us to change them everyday? Dan ran upstairs to the agents office and was promptly moved to another hotel but had to pay the difference. Dan ended up in the military and I always wondered, if he was in charge of looking after the flags?
