For the record, we didn't spend inordinate amounts of money on him. He degenerated really quickly over 2 or 3 days and when Mr. KChiki took him to the vet this morning, they x-rayed him and said, "Meh, it ain't worth puttin' him through it." We didn't even know he had teh canz0rz until today.

By the way, does anyone else suffer from BB typing at a real keyboard? How come the BB figured out that if I hold a key down for a nanosecond longer than usual, it should be capitalized? Or if I hit the space bar twice after a sentence, it politely inserts a period for me?

But my regular keyboard, and quad-CPU, hyper-threaded, GIgaflYOPPy RAMalamadingdong computer can't do this? WTF people?

Have Mesa stuffed and turned into an ornament. That way you can enjoy Mesa every year when you hang his carcass for the Christmas tree. If you work it out ahead of time, the taxidermist may even be willing to wire Mesa with a string of lights.

I like Thud's idea, getting him stuffed. Only have him stuffed in a 'live action' pose like inbreed rednecks get done with the racoons they shoot. Then slip the cat into your son's crib every night and wake up to the delightful screams of your child. Whenever he is bad the cat shows up in his crib the next morning. You'll have that baby trained up in no time!

Pants, you are right on target. Mr. KChiki's ex-wife brought Mesa home as a stray wild kitten and named him for the way Jar Jar Binks talks. And then he divorced her and took the cat.

Or something like that. She was an idiot, so I don't think about her much.

Our remaining kitteh is now Queen of the house and loving it. So of course we're going to adopt a kitten to drive her bat-Shakespeare-crazy.
