Who's working and who's not working today?
A comedy conversation by Dead Jeeni 43,391 49

I heard today is a holiday - whatever it is. Who has to work today & who's got a day off? In either case, what are you up to?

I don't live in the real world, I work for myself, so every day can be a work day and every day can be a weekend. Today, my husband and I are having someone come to look at the foundation to our new bed which is Frosted up & then going to try a restaurant called Max Burgers. They sell a burger that's "sandwiched between two grilled cheeses, with tomato and applewood smoked bacon". It's appropriately called the "Fatty Melt". I will NOT be getting this burger, but will go with a human sized 5 oz. Max Classic burger.

What about you?

Today is Veterans day. If you have the chance you should stop and thank a veteran for the sacrifice they have made. I will be spending today slowly losing my soul to the corporate world.

Oh, thanks Disco! Here are some appreciation clickies. I need to call my grandfather today anyway, Veteran's Day is as good a reason as any. For some reason I thought today was Columbus day or something.

Ack. Good luck in corporate America.

Yea, I still have to work. Isn't really a holiday here as far as I know, except for maybe government employees.

Waiting for the work day to end so I can support veterans by going to a strip club, drinking some beer, and doing some blow saluting everyone I see on my way home from work.

A little joke for the holiday:

A man was reading the classifieds and noticed an ad: "For sale. Talking dog. $20.00."

He noticed that the address was that of his neighbors, so he walks next door. "Hey, Bob. The paper made a mistake on your ad."

"Not a mistake," Bob replies.

"Not a mistake? You mean your dog actually talks?"

"Yep. See for yourself. He's in the bedroom."

The man walks into the bedroom and sees a dog, relaxed on the bed, laying on his back, with his paws behind his head.

"Are you the talking dog?" the man asks skeptically.

The dog turns and looks at him, and says, "Yep. Nice to meet you."

The man is amazed. "Where did you learn to speak English," he asks.

The dog replies, "Well, it started in the Air Force. I used to be a dog instructor at the Air Force's K-9 dog school at Lackland Air Force Base. I learned a fair amount of English there. Then I was transferred to Army Special Forces. I went on some missions in Latin America, learned more, and even picked up some Spanish. After that, I was transferred to the Marines, where I was a Guard Dog at the Embassy in Paris. I learned a little French while I was there. Before I retired, I was transferred to the Navy, where I was a K-9 dog in Italy. Learned Italian while I was there."

The man was absolutely amazed. He went back into the living room and said to his neighbor, "That's amazing. How can you sell a dog like that for $20.00?"

The neighbor replied, "Because he's a damn liar. He never did any of those things."

I was off work today. But to be fair, I'm off work every day, as I do not have a job. I went to school though. Which is super gay.

As a vet I was off work today, but since I am in Texas doing training I spent my day off in a hotel room watching tv.
On the plus side last night I celebrated my veterans morning at the strip club. Nothing like some boobies to make some one feel better about being hundreds of miles from home, in Texas of all places.

Thank you for what you're doing, Foye. I know you probably can't discuss it, but thanks for doing it.

Canada is remembering that World War I ended. Which is so sissified compared to the U.S., where we are honoring the guys who went into the service and did not come home dead. (If you came home dead, we will honor you on the last Monday in May).

So yeah, thanks for all you've done and continue to do, Foye (and any other veterans who happen to be reading this). And good work not getting killed doing it.

My 18 year old daughter is in Texas, training with the military. Have you seen her, Foye? I just want to know if I should come after you and kill you or not.

Thanks for your service to our country though.

Being in the Australian Army and doing a course we ended up working through the day and even finished late.
Did get quite drunk for it though. Something I am now regretting as I drag myself through relentless lessons being done with "Death by litepro"

Thank you to all who are serving, those who have served in the past, those who may serve in the future, those who want to serve but can't...and those who serve in silence.

Pubah spent the day passin out poppies (NOT THOSE KIND!)...visiting a grave or two and toasting the comrades who (as Whistler put it) came home dead.

I spent this dreary day hanging out with one of my employees. He and his wife had their first child earlier this year. So he re-upped with the Navy as a reservist for a little extra cash.
Unfortunately, the Army is so short handed they are now "borrowing" from other branches. He received his letter in September and ships out to Afganistan this Sunday.
Didn't Obama say we'd be out of that hellhole by now?

Do you really need a foundation? Will a box spring not hold the 2 of you or does your hubby have a jackhammer for a penis?
