We first took all the applicants who had solved the puzzle legitimately, and obtained their resumes. We then passed them along to a top hiring manager at Google with the following message:
While you're the world leaders in search, we're sure it's difficult -- even for the mighty Google -- to find top talent. So we recently ran a little stunt on our humor site ZUG.com, which attracted a large number of brilliant people who are interested in working for you. Our method of collecting these resumes was unorthodox, but good hiring campaigns usually are. These are the most beautiful minds on the planet, and we strongly urge you to consider them in your hiring process.
You also might want to reconsider hiring anyone from MIT in the future. They're not really that smart.
Now that we had our winners in the door at Google, we couldn't resist going back to MIT to follow up on the prank that none of them were able to solve. We purchased a huge jar of Lame Sauce, and brought it to our good friends at MIT Admissions to enjoy over a nice plate of Lame Pasta.

"Made with overripe tomatoes, and mushrooms that are about three years old."

We were interrupting a prospective student orientation, but it's better that kids know about MIT's Lame Sauce before they apply.

They were not happy to see us, so we left the sauce for them to enjoy later.

The score now stands at ZUG 2, MIT 0. Ball's in your court, kids.

John, they are doing way too many important things to be bothered with such shenanigans.

I 5-orb'd all 4 articles simply because for that split second, ya got me on the Lame Sauce photo. Nice perspective on that shot. I actually thought, again, for a split second, that you made a 20' tall bottle of tomato sauce.
Yes, I'm stupid. That's not exactly news.
No, I didn't go to MIT. I was able to achieve this level of stupidity without spending $50k/yr on tuition.

I liked it. It needs more oregano, but overall the taste is very pleasant.

That's really nice of you to put a link for stomach flu symptoms in your profile, because your thoughts on what is and isn't stupid is leaving me feeling a bit ill
