Monster Love: The Online Dating Prank by Zolton

Who would answer an online dating ad for a serial killer?
They say that everyone has a soulmate. No matter how boring, backwards,
or bone-chillingly butt-ugly you are, there's someone willing to look
through that crunchy exterior to see your warm, gooey candy center.
Dating services have thrived on this notion for decades, especially
the online dating industry, which pairs up gargoyles and mongoloids
to the tune of billions of dollars per year.
Still, is it really true that there's someone for everyone? Can even
a real stinker get a nibble in this age of relationship profiles, online
flirting, and anonymous e-diddling? I decided to find out.
First, I chose my "stinkers" -- some of the most notorious
wackos, serial killers, and nutjobs of the past thirty years. Next,
I created a profile for each on dating service Passion.com. I included
a photo, and made their personal information as specific and accurate
as possible. Except for the parts about torturing and killing people,
of course. You have to save some of the mystery for the second date.
Then, I waited three weeks to see whether any eligible ladies would
respond -- or if someone would catch on and recognize the monsters.
The results of the first two trips down the Tunnel of Love 'n' Terror
may surprise you.
