How To: Make a Trick Truffle

The best part of biting into a truffle is not knowing what kind of filling is inside. It could be caramel, it could be peanut butter, or in the case of this prank it could be something more exotic , like anchovy paste.

You Will Need:

Individually wrapped truffles (Lindt recommended)
Anchovy paste (or an equally unappetizing filling)
X-ACTO knife

Instructions:

1. Unwrap a truffle carefully. Make sure to keep the wrapper as intact as possible.
2. Find the factory seam where the truffle was originally cut in half.
3. Use the X-ACTO knife to split the truffle in half along the factory seam. Don't cut all the way through.
4. Remove the truffle filling and put it aside for later.
5. Fill the truffle with the anchovy paste.
6. Put the truffle halves back together.
7. Smooth over the seam with your fingers. If necessary, use some of the original truffle filling to cover it up.
8. Wrap up the truffle.

Mix this prank up a little by experimenting with different unique fillings. Perhaps build an entire meal by giving one person a parmesan-filled truffle, another person a tomato sauce-filled truffle, and the last person a truffle with one long strand of spaghetti. Chocolate has never this been unpredictable!

I'm really beginning to enjoy the compiling of all these "how to" prank ideas. Many of them are super simple, and should be obvious, yet aren't realized and spread until shared with us.

I might try this one with some toothpaste or non-toxic ink.
