Like logos, a lot of time and energy goes into finding the right one for your business. When it comes time to start a website for said business, most places just go with their company name.com, which is fine unless you are these buisnesses.
Who Represents? matches agents to actors looking for one. However in URL land they become whorepresents.com
When your in need of a pen, you could buy one from Pen Island. A glance at the URL might make you think you're looking for another type of 'pen'. penisland.net
Are you sad and depressed and need a therapist? Therapist Finder will find one for you. After looking at their URL, you're going to need one. therapistfinder.com
Apparantly no one at these three places have heard of a hyphen.

I helped on a site for a company called Powers. They have exams that you can take. Everyone I know who I shared it with sees the same thing: PowerSEXams.com
I don't know what "ams" are, but power sex sounds appealing.

When I first glanced at the URL, I thought it said Power Sex ARMS. Now that would be awesome. I have no idea what it would do but it sounds impressive.

Heh, I typed 'thisisthelongestwebsiteaddressintheworld' in my browser address bar and google popped in the actual longest website address in there for me. It's not unintentionally funny, but jeeze, imagine trying to share that address with people. Horrible!
Client: "Can I have your website address?"
You: "Yea, it's "L", "L", "A", "N", "F", "A" oh, never mind."
