For people who gave Jerry Lewis a medal, the French have had some pretty amazing accomplishments in pranking. Some of the best French pranks involve the one thing we all know they're actually good at: wine.
Look no further than USB Wine, a gadget that lets you download the finest wines, bottle them, and print off your own label.
The best way to use this video is to just show it to a friend and play it absolutely straight. Pretend that you've joined the Netflix of wines, and that you can't wait for this gadget to show up. Tell them you're thinking about getting the soda fountain attachment when it comes out. Either way, do not crack. Either they'll buy it, or they'll think you're insane, which is where the fun REALLY starts.
To the credit of the French, or at least their comedians, so far we haven't found anybody who actually has fallen for this. Well, except for the editors of Gizmodo, who didn't seem to realize it's a comedy skit and reported this like it was an
actual product.
But, if you just have to spend a decent chunk of change on a gadget, try the USB Wine Cork. It won't magically make fine wines appear out of nowhere, but it WILL let you hide 2 GB of data in plain sight and pretend you're James Bond ... or at least convince your mom you're a drunk, instead of a porn addict.
