With the exception of the pranked people in the library, Prangstgrup's "Startup Sound Prank" made everyone crack up laughing. Create the same effect on someone else's computer by putting a ridiculously long startup sound on their PC.
You Will Need:
A PC laptop
A ridiculously long startup sound in .WAV format [download one here]
Instructions:
1. Download the file above, or one of your own choosing, onto their computer.
2. In Windows, go to the Start Menu and select Control Panel.
3. Go to Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds > Program Events.
4. Under Program Events, click on Start Windows.
5. Browse and find your new .WAV file.
6. Turn their volume all the way up.
For added fun, try to get them to use the long startup noise in quiet crowded places. Try a local university library during exams, or a cross-Atlantic flight in mid-air.
Now includes an AWESOME prank startup sound, which begins with the Windows startup theme and goes into a four-minute fugue of insanity.
If anyone knows where this sound came from, I would like to give the author proper credit -- on YouTube, I saw it credited to www.jimofseattle.com, but that Web site no longer exists.
