The average American male loves his car so much that if marrying your car was legal, there would be more single women in the country, and a lot of men seeking medical attention for tailpipe-related burns.
Naturally, a combination of testosterone, prank-mindedness, and cars will lead to the inevitable. Here are our favorite three examples of the inevitable: our Top 3 Auto Pranks of All Time.
1. The Infamous Invisible Rope Trick
The invisible rope trick generally involves three people: two to carry out the trick, and one to film it. There are many examples of this trick on video sites, but this one is special because of the pranksters' dedication to the stunt. Too often the pranksters will flee once the car driver realizes there is a prank being carried out, but these two jokers perfect their art.
The good thing is the drivers are cautious. After all, these guys are pulling an imaginary rope! It could damage the windshield or the bumpers if you collide with an idea. The insurance forms would be a nightmare:
CAUSE OF ACCIDENT: invisible rope
CLAIM REJECTED
2. Amplifier Abuse Leads To Near-Cardiac Arrest
Professional pranksters like to be inventive. Developing a prank is almost as important as pulling it off. The right equipment in this case carries off the prank; it wouldn't have been as good if his amplifier didn't go all the way up to 11.
Serves him right for being on his cellphone at the time. He might have jumped, but imagine the person on the other end hearing that noise of cars colliding followed by him yelling. Let's hope he wasn't having a phone interview for a bus driver's job at the time:
"Oh yes sir, I am a capable driver and I am always taking safety into consideration."
"Are you driving now whilst on the phone?"
"No way sir! That's just crazy..." (terrible screeching noise, man screams).
"Sorry Mr. Jones, I don't think we can hire you at this time."
3. In Old English, The Word "Friends" Meant Evil Geniuses
This is a typical simple prank that works by combining common prank ingredients, a sleeping passenger, a moving vehicle, and "friends." It really says something when your friends think the highlight of the day is watching you go into shock. However, the victim's face is priceless.
At least they had the forethought to warn the driver about the prank, which could have ended very differently in a multiple car pile-up.
Still, it's like the old taxi driver joke: "I want to die peacefully in my sleep ... not screaming and crying like my passengers."
