Give your co-workers instant heart attacks by making them think their computer has been infected with the dreaded Windows "Blue Screen of Death." While this prank scares people year-round, it's especially frightening in the hours before a big project is due.

You Will Need:
A PC running Windows

Instructions:
1. Open this link in a new window.
2. Right click and choose "Set as background."
3. Go to Start > Control Panel > Display > Customize Desktop.
4. Uncheck all the desktop icons so that the desktop is empty.
5. Hide the start bar by right-clicking on the gray area.
6. Click properties and check the box next to Auto Hide.
7. Unplug the mouse and keyboard.

Make this prank extra-effective by spreading rumors the week before that the Blue Screen of Death means your computer is damaged beyond repair. If you go all out and infect your entire office, you're basically guaranteed a work riot.

Not funny. I received the BSOD a few months ago. At which point I ran to my room and hid under the covers.

I was recovering until I saw this POS post!!!

That's cool and all, but this is better:

Install the screensaver, which will not only simulate a BSOD, but also simulates the machine stuck in a rebooting and blue-screening loop. I've seen people who will then reboot, and work and see no problem, then the second they turn their backs it happens again. Has the potential to keep them at it for hours.
