Real-Life Lawyers Threaten Make-Believe Fairy Creatures
A funny link

The National Pork Board, apparently unsatisfied despite being the government-mandated Kings of Bacon, took legal action against a company infringing on their "Other White Meat" trademark. A company claiming to sell canned unicorn.

That's disgusting -- everyone knows unicorn should be served as steaks
The ThinkGeek ad for unicorns (magical, joyous, nonexistent creatures of wonder) summoned the anti-corn (real, joyless, all-too-existent monsters of annoyance). Lawyers.

Even more ridiculous: ThinkGeek called unicorn "The NEW White Meat," leaving pork to enjoy its Other-White-Meat status
Apparently it's easier to hire lawyers to send a cease-and-desist than it is to click other products on the page, or try to place the order (which would have instantly revealed the joke), or even turn your head fractionally to see the office calendar showing the date ThinkGeek posted this product: "April 1st Don't Believe Things You See Online Today, You Idiot."
ThinkGeek immediately capitalized on the legal threat (quick note, National Pork Board: trying to destroy mytho-poetic creatures is only cool if you're Kratos) with a hilarious reply and a special offer in their store. After all, if a governmental regulatory board is going to spend thousands of dollars turning a legal firm into free PR for your products, it's only fair to sell more of them. Simply enter the code PORKBOARD when checking out at the ThinkGeek store to score $10 off any order of $40 or more.

I always thought chickens were the other white meat.
The first white meat is Caucasians.

A lesser-known method of torture: porkboarding.
