StarCraft II is one of the most intensely anticipated sequels since Jesus, with Korea expected to shut down entirely when it's released. Videogame site ExplicitGamer pulled a perfect prank on the beta-test audience. They used a map-editor to build a "DotA" map for the game ("Defense of the Ancients," one of the most popular maps from the Warcraft III game), uploaded it to the server list, watched hordes of desperate players pour in to revisit their top-rated map on their dream sequel, and then ... well, that would be telling.
The video is SFW. And while it isn't what the players wanted, it does feature the return of an old classic in an exciting new way.
I had to go check to make sure, but yep, I am the proud owner of a Rick Astley cassette from the 80s. Which means I used to listen to that music voluntarily.
