"Mooning," the elementary art of proving to random strangers that you have an ass -- though why they should doubt that is itself in doubt -- isn't very high on the hilarity scale. But institutionalized, traditional, hecto-mooning? Now we're going somewhere. Somewhere full of buttocks!
What's he going to do, turn?
The annual "Mooning of the Amtrak" in Laguna Niguel, California, started from a bar opposite the track where one patron offered to buy a drink for everyone who did it. Normally such alcoholic origin stories are prefixed by "it is said that" or "a popular version claims," but come on: this couldn't have started anywhere else but a pub.
But be warned: the honest humor of a hundred asses is canceled out by newspapers insisting on terrible "crack" and "cheeky" puns.
