Before you view the video above, know that you are about to view the Funniest Prank in History.
That's the name of this video in YouTube, which has a mind-boggling 25 million views. It promises to be the Funniest Prank in History, which would include not only since the dawn of recorded civilization, but also stretching back into the Mesozoic and Precambrian eras.
Is it truly the Funniest Prank in History? You be the judge.
Originally created for the hidden camera prank show Just For Laughs, "The Unexpected Skunk" is indeed a terrifying sight (and a terrific name for an indie band). We appreciate its simplicity: one man creeps up with a stuffed-synthetic-skunk-on-a-stick, poking it between the legs of an unsuspecting bench-sitter, and triggering a perfect moment of shock. The park bench-er is relaxed, unwary, and unable to see behind themselves -- until they leap up in fright, and realize they've been had.
So what makes this video the "Funniest Prank in History?" Is it just that someone named it "The Funniest Prank in History," so everyone has to watch it out of curiosity? Is it that the old guy in the video doesn't even fall for it? Or is it that the YouTube audience is mostly made up of computer-savvy skunks?
Share your theories below. Please. We're dying to figure this one out.
That's just awesome. I was laughing so hard I had tears. Even the title of your thread had me giggling. This proves anything-on-a-stick is funny! ...especially skunks!
As much as that was a rib-tickler I was hoping it was going to be Ditdah repeatedly whacking Lobster over the head with a 3lb lumphammer whilst the Rocky theme plays over and over.
I'm guessing that if the clip you've posted has managed 25,000,000 hits then my idea may well break teh interweb.
