The Incredible Dummy Prank

In Auburn, Maine, a street artist created a simple prank that has turned into a community art piece about the perils of too much television.

"TV is for Dummies"

The TV was donated by local resident Dan Bilodeau, where "donated" means "left out for the garbage truck." But instead of landfill, the TV ended up with a table, working lamp, and even an interested viewer -- an old resuscitation dummy from Dan's garage. A secret street artist snuck the dummy out to enjoy some quality time, and people have been changing his clothes and adding props ever since.

Someone even drew him a happy program to watch! And it's still smarter than most talk shows!

Dan did his part, adding an electrical lamp and leaving it plugged in for everyone's inanimate friend. Passing motorists cycle through four stages:

1) What nutball is watching TV outside?
2) OH GOD HE DOESN'T HAVE LEGS
3) Man, I feel bad about calling the poor guy a nutball now.
4) Hey, wait a minute...

I like the Monster energy drink product placement.

Apparently it gives you the energy to sit and watch TV all day, but while leaning forward expectantly.
