Addressing the "Restoring Honor" rally at the Lincoln memorial, Glenn Beck told an enthusiastic crowd of protesters that America has "wandered in darkness for too long."
He went on to say "things look black now, but hopefully it won't be like that too much longer."
"I think some people would like to say that our country is fading into dusk, but I don't think so. Sure things look murky, but even when things get too ebony you can always lighten them up a little bit."
He went on to say, "Let's face it, things are messed up. Our future is too dark, it's dirty, lightless, dusky and befouled. It's swarthy. But we can make it all light again. Unpainted. Pure. Spotless. Did I mention I don't want things to be black?"
