I don't really have any pictures--Daisy has them all since he's the one who takes them. I may have one from last week stored on this computer (I'm at my Mom's house and using her laptop.) She has changed a lot since then. She now weighs about two pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long.

I think it's kind of funny when people say she looks like me or Daisy, because she really doesn't look like anyone but an alien right now.

The placenta should come out in one piece after a c-section. It's pretty vascular, so you don't want to go chopping through that sucker. I'm on my OBGYN rotation at the minute, and I don't know how I'm mananging to learn things while being haunted by vaginas in various states of disrepair.

The only thing that makes it bearable are the cutie little babies with their itty bitty toes and noses and all that Shakespeare.

I have already said how awesome that is, but here it is again: OMG the cute. We have a photo of my brother in the NICU. He had his shirt open with my niece sleeping on his chest and he is also asleep.

Her incubator was in the same spot mine was 16 years earlier, and my cousin's was just 2 years ago. There is a new hospital now, so it's a bit sad thinking of the old neonate ward as an office block. That cousin made the prem babies look even more impossibly tiny... at 12 pounds he was in there for his jaundice.
