If you know an Apple user, you know how much they love their stylish products, and how much better they (think they) are than the evil Microsoft empire. But you can easily thrust them into an evil Bizarro universe where Apple are the monopolistic megacompany, extracting money with yearly upgrades, unavoidable software updates, claiming control of your personal data, and crushing independent software developers at their whim!

No, wait, that's this universe.

What this prank does is to flip their computer's colors into a nightmarish black-and-orange fashion disaster.

Trust us, for an Apple user this is as upsetting as finding out your newborn son is the wrong color

The best bit is that it works for everything on the display, crazifying movies and turning even the cutest cat...

Which is still a moderately evil cat

... into an inverted nightmare cat!

Imagine how it'll render your duckfaced friend's Facebook page! The trick is simplicity itself: press Control-Command-Option-8 to flip, and again to flip back. You only need to remember the 8, since Apple throughtfully put all the rest of the buttons right next to each other.

You have to wonder what this shortcut is for. It takes three clicks to turn the computer off, but the evil inversion switch is instant? What is Steve Jobs planning?

Meh, I do that every Halloween.

Meh, I do that every-single night to soothe my eyes while playing Kingdom of Loathing in the dark.

Now this is evil:

I'm totally going to do this to my husband's iMac.

Want to prank your husband by saying "No Viewing Porn!!" on his log in screen?

If you can get past the beginning of this video, it is pretty helpful.

You'll have to download Ravissant

Luke, I seriously want to thank you. I've been wanting to change the damned log in screen for my new machine for weeks but your article kicked me in the butt to actually learn how to do it. Sorry for all the "meh" earlier.

Changing the title to more accurately reflect the bone-jarring agony this will cause most Mac users.

I miss the days of chat rooms, where if someone was complaing that chat was moving slow, I'd just tell them to hit ctrl atl delete at the same time, and that would fix everything. And it was funny when they suddenly went *poof*

For Windows users use "Ctrl+Alt+Rightarrow" or "Ctrl+Alt+Leftarrow"

"Ctrl+Alt+Uparrow" to restore

:)

P.S.Beware with dual monitors, it took me 5 minutes to straighten both up correctly.

It's obviously an accessibility feature for those with vision impairments.
