Flickr is the most famous online photo management and sharing application in the world. Like Facebook and Twitter, Flickr is a contributing factor to our self-obssessed world where people view themselves as the star of their very own movie.

The world of Flickr allows users to share every damn photo ever taken with their camera, each shot becoming a masterpiece of self-importance. Through Flickr, we get to learn what people have eaten for breakfast, or what their friends look like at a party through a blurry lens. Flickr is the image equivalent of Twitter: instead of trumpeting that someone is stepping out for a cappuccino, we get to see things like what their hairbrush might look like.
I recently decided to make the ultimate Flickr portfolio. What could that be? Kittens with Hitler mustaches? A pictorial of my friends drinking PBRs at hipster bars? I wanted to take it up a notch. Although this might break the space/time continuum -- or potentially the entire Internet -- I decided to visit the Flickr headquarters in downtown San Francisco, to Flickr Flickr.
What could be more ironic than creating the most mundane photo blog on the premises that started it all? Here's what I shot, and posted to my Flickr account, from within Flickr.
My Flickr Journal
Welcome to my Flickr collection! Here's a shot of the Flickr headquarters that I shot recently. This is where the magic happens, folks!

Since I'm such an inspired photographer, I thought I'd show my artistic side. This is a photo I'd like to call "Flickr Building Shot With Hipster Sepia Tone." I'm pretty sure I might be the Annie Leibovitz of smartphone photography!

Whoa, dude. I had to share this image because its really trippy. This is what the Flickr headquarters looks like if we lived in the 4th dimension with the Annunaki reptilian race. LOL. Trippy!

I know I've already posted 3 photos of the front of the Flickr headquarters, but this is what the Flickr headquarters looks like with a negative filter on my phone. Do they give Nobel Prizes for cool photos? Because I think this one would be a serious contender.

I thought this would be surreal: taking a photo of my smartphone with the address of the Flickr headquarters -- while standing in front of the Flickr headquarters. Does it get any more postmodern ironic than that?

This is the garbage can outside of Flickr Headquarters. Seems like Flickr employees eat half of a salad and then throw the rest away. Thought I'd share this photo to show how wasteful the employees of Flickr are. Social commentary!

I call this one "Self Portrait." Once again, I got a little artistic and photographed my shoes with my feet firmly planted in front of Flickr's headquarters. Inventive!

Strange. I included this shot of the lounge chair in Flickr's lobby because it looked like it cost a lot of money -- but yet no one even bothered to sit on it. We have a recession going on, Flickr!

I call this photo "Self Portrait #2." Perhaps the cigarette butt by my foot was smoked by an actual employee of Flickr? Brain aneurysm!

This is not a self-portrait: it's more of a political statement about web censorship. Basically my thumb is telling the offices of Flickr that they can't put their corporate thumb of censorship over users of their photo application.

This one was really inspired. This is also not a self-portrait. Here I got even more political and artistic, if not controversial. Also, I wanted to try out my distortion filter again. Impressive!

I found this funny. It's a tree outside the Flickr headquarters that looked like a monkey's butt. LOL. I'm fascinating.
