The Elevator Toilet Prank A video

A few years ago, buying an apartment complex seemed like a good idea. The bank was giving money to anyone who could spell "money," or anyone who could just get close, like "mony" or even "munny." So I bought an apartment building, but soon discovered I was only about to rent out about 65% of the units at any given time. I needed to figure out a way to make this investment pay off financially ... or at the very least, find a way to use the apartment building for pranks (tax write-off).
At the time, I had a prank show on CMT, Mabe in America, so my tenants knew I was a prankster. The bad thing about this was they figured I had a sense of humor, so they could negotiate with me on paying their rent. There are so many laws that prevent you from putting someone on the street, so pretty soon it seemed every one of my tenants was at least two months behind. I tried everything to get them to pay, but nothing worked. I still remember my frustration as I watched them bring friends and family over to a building I was paying on, for free.
Finally, I snapped. I got fed up and said, forget this! If I've got to run this apartment building, then at least I'll have some fun with it. We took a day to shoot this scene in the elevator of my building -- and while it was funny, I think it stopped a few of my tenants from paying rent altogether.
So it was an expensive prank, but hopefully it will pay me back over time in laughter. Which, by the way, is free.
