Luckily, most of us don't have to wear suits and ties to work these days, but that doesn't mean that dressing for work isn't confusing. What exactly does "business casual" mean anyway? And don't even get us started on dress codes printed on party invites. Ever received an invitation specifying "festive casual" or worse, "celebrity chic"?

To "help" hapless workplace drones better understand what to wear to work, we decided to give them specifics, with the assistance of four mythical IT professionals roped into the task of clarifying the company dress code. Finding someone at your workplace in violation (or worse, compliance) could make for a more entertaining workplace.

My business casual: A turtle neck shirt and pajama bottoms.

Our office had a big "thing" about what was and wasn't a "flip flop", because the girls kept wearing them and claiming they were sandals. Eventually, HR had to print out and hang up a definition of "flip flop" and "sandal".

I'm glad the comedy writer investment is paying off.

But yes, I do find my company's dress code confusing, especially why is it female's can wear long shorts in the summer but men cannot. What is a skort and are capri pants too short pants or shorts that are too long?
