Did you get drunk every time you went back to complete it? tattoos of that size generally are not done in one sitting. Not so much because of pain (I am sure you are a tough cookie) but because the tattoo artist would need to stop. Every try writing for 4+ hours straight? Now try it with a vibrating pen.
