It may be true that we all have a novel inside of us, but for many people it might be best to keep that novel inside. Unfortunately, too many people have convinced themselves they are the next JK Rowling. Imagine if you were at work and had just sent that boring spreadsheet to the communal printer. There is a print queue, so after 5 minutes of looking at porn checking stock prices you decide to go pick up your work.

It's not uncommon to find a little basket of forgotten documents in the printing area, an orphan accounting form, a lonely graph containing complicated figures and the occasional printout of a cat doing something vaguely amusing. But what if you found the intro to someone's novel in that collection of castaways, the innermost secret thoughts of one of your colleagues typed onto a screen and then accidentally printed out when interrupted by a nosey office manager?

And what if that intro wasn't a lame Twilight/Harry Potter rip-off but something a bit racy, a bit strange, something that hinted at an unhinged mind, and even contained poorly hidden references to controversial subjects such as racism? You would probably start coming to work in a bulletproof vest just in case the crazy author went "postal."

This is a simple prank to pull off. We've done all the creative work for you! Instructions: print off the intro below, slip it into the pile of recently printed documents and watch the faces of the people who find it and read it! Leave the last words looking like the typing has gone accidentally astray as the writer was disturbed and unaware of pressing the print key. Sit back, and watch your co-workers get very, very nervous about the people in the cubicle next door.

My new line in all situations is going to be, "Come out of the corner and let me see you properly, space-hag."

Isn't Murralax a brand of laxative? (Then again, it would be a good way to "deal with all captives.)
