  PART XXXVII: The Shipwreck
  
  So there I was, half-drowned on the shoreline, pulled from the churning sea by the beautiful mysterious native girl that appeared out of the mists in her small canoe. Draggin me ashore and into a small natural grotto, she warmed my body with hers as we began an adventure that would take us from Heaven to Hell and back again, only to end on a rainy Manhattan evening a week later, the puddles splashing droplets like so many broken dreams. I'll never forget what's-her-name.
