Anybody else in a college town?
On the way to work, I realized too late that it's 'Moving Day' for Boston's seven hundred and forty-three colleges and unis. It took twelve times longer to get to work, and four more middle fingers handed out to Shakespearety clueless drivers. Not to mention the mass of twenty-boppers running around lugging boxes, and throwing Shakespeare out windows, and puking on the curb. Sort of like 'Dawn of the Dead', with backwards hats and ankle tats and Abercrombie baby tees.
Not to bash the kiddies, per se -- it's just a Frost-ing nightmare day, and I forget about it every year, until I'm stuck behind some '84 station wagon, staring at the aging soccer mom with the Illinois plates and 'MIT Grads Do It with Supercolliders' bumper sticker for an hour and a half on my 'shortcut' to work.
Still, if not for the annual influx of bouncy coeds raising the 'talent' level at the local strip clubs every fall, I'd really be pissed.
Just venting. Please, carry on.

I got stuck behind a car this morning on the way to work that had a bumper sticker on it that said:
"I'd rather be shooting yankeees"
It was a Toyota Tercel.

The extra "e" in yankeees makes it funny.
Try to keep up here. Sheesh.

Phla, I told Matt last night that you 16th CENTURY'D! me and he laughed.
He's the only one besides you and I that would get that joke.

We've had RAs and some sports teams here for a bit already. Today and tomorrow are "early arrivals" which means more sports teams and anyone with $75 to pay the early move-in fee. Freshman move in sunday and everyone else is back in on monday.
I think Smith, Amherst, and Mt Holyoke are already in, but I think Hampshire College move in when we do. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep through it.
Frat, how'd you like to have opening during a hurricane?

Now that schools are open, I really hate those 15mph school zones. Frost THAT!
Teach those kids to get the hell out of the way of oncoming traffic, I say!
