My plan was to put the gutter debris at the top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, so they could catch the first rays of the rising sun. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get all the way out to Bar Harbor in time to get pictures to you. My contingency plan was to put the debris in a room full of caskets I have downstairs (I rent an apartment in a funeral home), but there has been ... business ... down there for the last two days, and my landlord and his patrons wouldn't take kindly to my task. As a last resort, I took the debris to the top of French's Mountain in Rome, Maine, which overlooks Long Pond. In case you didn't know, Long Pond and its sister lake, Great Pond, were the inspiration for the play & movie "On Golden Pond," the remake of which I truly believe Charlize Theron should star in.   | |||||||||||||
